OLGA VLADIMIROVNA KIREEVA - DOCTOR, TEACHER, SCIENTIST

The article is a portrait essay, which was created in memory of the doctor, teacher, scientist - Olga Vladimirovna Kireeva, whose life was hard and interesting. It describes the history of Olga Vladimirovna’s family, who emigrated from Russia after the civil war; the young girl’s studies at Sofia University; the joy of meeting the Soviet soldiers who liberated Bulgaria from the Nazis during II world war and the natural return of Olga Vladimirovna’s family to her native country, the USSR. Olga Vladimirovna’s selfless teaching work at the Leningrad /Saint Petersburg GIDUV (State Institute of Professional Improvement for Doctors)/ MAPO (Medical Academy of Postgraduate Education) is thoroughly described. The essay describes how O.V. Kireeva took care of young doctors, helped them understand scientific truths and consider life in its philosophical aspect.
