Features of providing specialized medical care to the children’s population of the Arctic zone of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia)
Abstract
Introduction. The article presents a retrospective analysis of the indicators of specialized medical care for children in the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia). Objective. To describe the need for specialized medical care for children in the Arctic zone of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia). Materials. The data for 2021–2022 were analyzed for the hospital and the consultative polyclinic of the Pediatric Center of the Republican Hospital N 1 — the National Center of Medicine named after M.E. Nikolaev (Pediatric Center). Results. The structure of hospitalized morbidity has been determined according to the data of the Pediatric Center. In the structure of hospitalized morbidity: in the first place are injuries, poisoning and the effects of external causes, in the second place — diseases of the nervous system, while the third place take diseases of the digestive/respiratory organs. Respiratory diseases, diseases of the ear and mastoid process, diseases of the skin and subcutaneous tissue, neoplasms and malignant neoplasms revealed an increase in the rate of hospitalized morbidity. Conclusions. The high need for specialized medical care for children from the Arctic regions of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) has been proven.
